"Pacifico café Update: we came back and we're very excited to return here. Unfortunately today's breakfast was not up to standards. Very little cream cheese on my bagel and are chilaquiles were too picante to eat. No one checked on us or cared that we did not this meal. I still think this is a nice place. Coffee was wonderful. Original: My daughter chose this place because she saw the chilaquiles were good. It's a very small cafe, not particularly exquisitely decorated, save for the rainbows) and pretty plain. On the sidewalk they have a semi enclosed place to eat outside. You see we started our journey through Mexico a few weeks ago and when our initial plane flight into Mexico stopped in Mexico City on our way south we ended up getting chilaquiles at the airport and we hated them. For over 2 weeks we've been in Mexico avoiding this dish because of our airport experience but we ordered it here. OMG they were amazing. We ended up ordering the chorizo chilaquiles. They were served with nacho chips and beans. No salsa. I'm a chilliquillis convert now! I'm not an expert but I love the way this dish was prepared here. However, I wish that I would have had the attention of someone at the restaurant to explain to me if the dish came with a salsa or not. Clearly we were visitors and would have liked a little bit more attention but it did not detract from our enjoyment of the restaurant. One of the best lattes I've had on the trip. Not the best decorated but oh my God, so rich and buttery smooth. If I had to guess, it was probably a darker roast then the lighter roasted beans from Chiapas we have been getting in the south. Loved it. What really made it even better was the mug that it was served in. It was a heavy mug that kept the drink hot and made it even so much more enjoyable. That's called attention to detail and you saw that nearly everywhere while eating at this restaurant. The chai latte was also probably the best one I have had short of being in New Delhi. A bit spicy (I assume hard on the ginger and pepper) and missing the buffalo milk, nevertheless, it brought back memories of India. I would say it was nearly perfect. Waitress seemed a bit shy but she was efficient. The guys in the kitchen and what appeared to be the manager or owner had that place rocking. Rainbow flags everywhere, the place was fabulous! Service was better on our second visit. The owner or manager was very nice to us. I saw someone eating a torta (bagel) there and it also looked very good. I'm looking forward to hopefully trying one on our return. (I did.) We tried the mango water follow what visit and it was really good. You may want to ask for extra ice? They took credit cards and American Express."
"Chilaquiles Verde con Huevos was superb. Very filling. Great cappuccino and espresso too."
"Gahh this place was crazy cool! The vibes were off the charts and you could tell this was a very community-friendly place! They had poster up everywhere advertising local events that were coming up, and the atmosphere just seemed so friendly. Even the bathroom was so vibey with its pink walls and everything. The waiter that was serving us was nice and pretty organized. I ordered a salmon avocado bagel and a chai latte, which were pretty good! I loved the bagel and even had my friend's who couldn't finish hers. The chai wasn't my favorite, but it was satisfying enough. I'm not going to lie I wanted to return to this place to try all of their bagels, but maybe next time. Would highly highly recommend this place for sure if you're looking for a simple and vibey brunch spot!"
"The food was delicious! It is an authentic Mexican restaurant. We had brunch, and the food couldn’t be more authentic (and spicy ). The agua de frutas were really good and the espresso as well! The atmosphere is good and the interior is very pretty. I highly recommend!"
"We popped into Cafe Pacifico for a mid morning snack. We shared a Salmon y Aguacate bagel. It was delicious. Our server brought some picante to the table. Definitely add this to your bagel. It was really good and amplified an already tastey bagel. We also had Cortados. Very well made. This place is highly recommended for a light breakfast."
"Very cute breakfast place. The service was really good and food as well :)"
"This is my second time visiting mexico City and always come here, hands down the best breakfast spot I have found. They have both English and Spanish menus and are very accommodating if you want to customize your order. 10 out of 10."
"US Americans here. Perfectly casual. Excellent chilaquiles omelet. And the coffee is divine. Tables in a streetside garden are perfect for a slow, sunny weekday morning of people watching and communicating with jealous relatives. Heraldo’s English was a pleasant surprise and very welcome - thank you for your warm service. . Highly recommended for all."
